Weekly opportunity digest
Fresh matched vacancies, application nudges and scholarship windows — Mondays by email. Tune what it matches on the Alerts page.
Goal progress reminders
A weekly nudge with your goal progress and the milestones still open.
Lifelong Careers circle newsletter
Human-potential insights, product notes and invitations — occasional, never frequent.
Security notices, receipts and replies from a Lifelong Careers expert are transactional — they always come through because they answer something you did. Everything promotional waits for your switch.
Signing in loads your saved switches.
One switch per email, with the consequence spelled out.
A single control centre for deciding which messages Lifelong Careers may send and for what purpose. Essential account and security communications are separated from optional product, learning and opportunity messages — and every switch says, in plain language, what actually changes when you flip it.
Preference groups, in plain language
Three switches cover the three things Lifelong Careers can send you: the weekly opportunity digest, goal-progress reminders and the circle newsletter. Each row states what it is, when it arrives, and where to tune what it matches.
Essential vs optional, clearly separated
Security notices, receipts and replies from a Lifelong Careers expert are transactional — they always come through because they answer something you did. Everything promotional waits for your switch: creating an account is never treated as marketing consent.
Choices persist, changes are confirmed
Switches save to your account and survive refreshes and devices. The page confirms each save, and a failed save is never silently dropped — you'll see it and can retry.
Dependencies and data, stated plainly
An email switch doesn't change what the product shows you in-app, and the two are never presented as coupled: the digest's matching is tuned on the Alerts page, and goal reminders need a goal set in your Command Center. Lifelong Careers keeps delivery data for sending and security only, consent records carry the timestamp and the policy they were given under, and nothing beyond what delivery requires is collected.
How this works.
Every email Lifelong Careers can send has one switch — alerts, digests, reminders, product news — nothing bundled or hidden.
Switch off what you don't want; the state saves to your account and follows you across devices.
The centre lists what each email actually is, so a switch is never a guess.
Stated plainly — what this doesn't do
- — These switches govern Lifelong Careers's own emails only — they can't unsubscribe you from third-party services.
- — Essential account notices (like password resets) can't be switched off, because they're not marketing.
- — No re-engagement loops — off stays off, with no 'are you sure?' dark patterns.
Questions people ask.
If I turn everything off, what breaks?
Nothing you rely on — plans, corrections and tools all work in the app. Email only ever mirrors what's here.
Can I re-enable a digest later?
Any time — the switches are yours, and the state saves immediately.
Does my data get shared when emails are on?
No. Sending an email doesn't change what Lifelong Careers holds or shares — data control lives in Trust & Control and Data Corrections.
Your inbox, governed by you.
One switch per email is the whole policy. Set it once and trust the quiet.
